One bright young student asked me to document the process as we created an alternate reality game in our sixth grade math class. This is not the game itself, but it is the process we go through as we create the game. I hope to honor the work that the students are doing and maybe even encourage and guide others to try this type of work.
The state of Texas wants middle grade students to develop strong proportional thinking. This project was designed as a culminating project for the year to immerse students in ratios and proportions work. If you would like to contact me about the student work, please email me at julie (at) juliemcleod (dot) org.
